Notice on Delivery Reattempt Charge for Abandoned Packages
Thank you for your continued trust and support to SF International.
Please kindly be informed that from July 27, 2021, SF International Japan is to collect Delivery Reattempt Charge for abandoned packages in Japan that are requested for redelivery either by the shipper or the consignee. The charge can be paid by the shipper or the consignee.
With the consent from the shipper, packages will be kept in our warehouse for one month for abandonment after the consignee fails to response to our contact many times due to reasons including long-term absence, incomplete information etc. However during the one month, the shipper or the consignee may request to redeliver the package. In this case the Delivery Reattempt Charge will be collected. Please refer to the below for details.

Delivery Reattempt Charge is collected when the shipper or the consignee requests a redelivery of abandoned packages in Japan.

If the payment is made by the shipper, the charge should be converted to Japanese currency in the exchange rate of the date when the packagewas picked up at the origin.
