Regarding the Rename of ‘Temporary Surcharge’

We would like to inform you that from December 1st, 2022 the ‘Temporary Surcharge’, the surcharge which was introduced from June 2020 (official announcement was released on May 27th, 2020), will be renamed as shown in the following table.

The Resource Allocation Fee was introduced for cargos going in to and out from Japan from June 1st, 2020 because of the Covid-19 in 2020 when international airlines schedules were unstable with short space for cargo, while the needs for international cargo transportation increased dramatically.
Still affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, the resources for international transportation are still quite limited with increasing operation costs. To keep the high quality services as always we provide to our customers, we decided to increase the surcharge from JPY 45/kg to JPY 100/kg from May 1st, 2022.
