WesTech IWS Solids Contact (SC) Clarifiers provide high rate treatment of water.  Applications include lime softening, precipitation of iron and magnesium in the treatment of groundwater, and turbidity removal in both ground water and surface water treatment.  The operating principles of the SC Clarifier excel in cases where a very small amount of solids (usually less than 200 ppm) are very disperse and will not settle well.  Through coagulation, recirculation, and enhanced flocculation, higher concentrations of the same material are achieved which typically settle extremely well.
